2025 LONG RANGE TRANSPORTATION PLAN

The Volusia County MPO adopted the 2025 Long Range Transportation Plan at its November 22, 2005 meeting. The Long Range Transportation Planning process is the cornerstone of the decision-making process that is used to guide the construction of transportation improvement projects that utilize federal and state transportation dollars.

A key component of developing our 20-year Plan involves a pro-active citizen input process.  To accomplish this, we have developed two "games" for citizens to provide their input.  The first game is called Strings and Ribbons.  Strings and Ribbons is played with between 4-8 people, where players develop a 20-year plan.



The second game is the Virtual Budget Game, which is played individually on your computer.  The Virtual Budget Game allows you to provide input as to how you feel your transportation tax dollars should be spent.
